Mobile Device Management v1.5 December 17, 2024

Version 1.5, a minor release of Coro's Mobile Device Management (MDM) module, includes:

New features

This section describes the new features that we are releasing with version 1.5.

  1. Device Labels
  2. Reworked policy system

1 - Device labels

This release introduces device labels, managed on the new Labels tab.

Labels enable admin users to group and identify related mobile devices enrolled with Coro MDM, improving device management.

Admin users also assign labels to device policies, enabling fast and flexible roll-out of policies to groups of devices with the same label.

For more information, see Managing labels.

2 - Reworked policy system

Device policies in Coro MDM now have specific individual purposes related to the defined device type and the restriction or action you want to apply. The policies tab has been redesigned, with policies now grouped by device type.

In this release, Coro enables admin users to create policies based on:

  • Allowed apps : (Applicable to iOS supervised/Android all types) Enables full management of app lists for work profiles on the device.
  • Compliant apps : (Applicable to iOS BYOD) Enables compliance reporting against installed apps.

For more information, see Managing policies.

Important

As part of the release process, Coro has migrated all existing device policies to the new system.

In order to ensure a seamless transition, for each existing policy, Coro now shows a separate new equivalent policy per device type, with a specially-created label assigned to each policy and all relevant devices to maintain the link. Review your policies and devices to see how they are now arranged.

This process is automatic and requires no admin user intervention.
