UCPA aims to give consumers substantial control over their personal data, and emphasizes the privacy of children, in particular, providing tools to protect their privacy and control the usage of their personal data.
In order to comply, ensure:
- awareness in the workplace and implement data security on all levels including technical, administrative, and physical.
- your Privacy Notice is updated and promotes transparency and accessibility
- implementation of a proper consent management system

The UCPA establishes consumers’ rights to access, delete, portability, and opt-out of targeted advertising or sale of personal data, adopting transparency in their data processing activities. It also establishes controller and processor obligations, and privacy notice requirements.
