Labels
Device labels help group together related endpoint devices. After devices are assigned labels, the label can be used as filter criteria to search for related devices or to apply device policies. The Devices area shows all current labels (custom and predefined), and the number of devices using those labels.
To access Labels:
-
Log into the Coro console
and select
Control Panel
from the toolbar.
-
Select
Devices
.
-
Select the
Labels
tab.
There are two categories of device labels used in the Coro Console:
Predefined labels
Each new workspace includes a predefined set of device labels that represent the four main groups of devices:
- All devices
- Windows Desktop devices
- Windows Server devices
- macOS devices
When devices are added to protection, they are automatically assigned a predefined label based on their type.
To view the list of devices to which a predefined label has been applied, see View labels assigned to devices.
note
Predefined labels are identifiable by their gray color.
They cannot be edited or deleted, and do not have an associated action menu.
They are not visible on the Devices page.
Custom labels
You can create custom labels to group together a related set of devices. For example, you could create and assign a custom label titled Sales department to all devices in your organization within the sales department.
The following sections provide more information for custom labels:
- Creating a custom label
- Edit or delete a custom label
- Adding custom labels to devices
- Removing custom labels from devices
note
Custom labels are identifiable by a unique assigned color.
